|For over a century, one of the greatest juristic monuments in Islamic history has remained largely inaccessible to the wider Muslim world, preserved primarily in Urdu. Today, Dar al-Imam Yusuf al-Nabhani and Supporting Sunni Scholars are breaking through this linguistic divide by translating the entire 30-volume compendium into Arabic—the lingua franca of classical Islamic scholarship.
While landmark legal references like al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya required a royal commission of over fifty scholars, Fatawa Ridawiyya represents the singular intellect of Ala Hadrat, Imam Ahmad Rida Khan. What survives today comprises an estimated fifteen years of output, yet it remains one of the most exhaustive reference works ever compiled in the Hanafi tradition:
The Scholar of Scholars: Over 1,000 inquiries originated not from laypersons, but from practising muftis, senior teachers, and jurists seeking his authoritative verdict.
Exhaustive Treatises: While select rulings are succinct answers, many are stand-alone monographs running hundreds of pages, rich with rare primary-source citations and novel legal deductions found in no other text.
